it's all about dedication. if u have 10 different characters to do quests on, ur sitting pretty. if ur pro at pvp, just keep repeating the pvp quest of the day. if ur only able to complete one quest a day on one character, then it's going to take u forever. but if ur doing the later, i don't see u needing the large pack too much. if ur not willing to farm for the bag, how are u going to have a ton shit to put in it? i doubt u farm much other shit huh? stop qq'ing and get the cheap ones

It's just a disappointment.

The preview came and they said there were q-packs for armour and weapons and I was so glad cause I have a lot of characters who have 5 elite armour sets and more to come.

Now I've seen it, I know it's gonna take a year to get them and that just sucks.

All the calculations are all well and good, but if you want to do something else besides doing z-quests then you won't get a heavy pack in two weeks unless you have no friends or a job.
The one thing that is missing in these calculations is time. If I just needed one heavy pack it would've been alright but I need 14.
Basically if you have more characters than storage panes, you really need the heavy packs.
And since I like to to other things in the game like getting titles and helping friends go through the story missions etc, I dont have the time to spend 3 hours each day doing z-quests. And even if I did it would be 14x2 weeks which is over 6 months of doing nothing but z-quests.

No thanks. The HoM got me into buying lots of armours and now I get shafted with a half kept promise.

So you've already put all your armor in the account wide HoM, waiting for GW2 unlocks.

Now you can safely salvage them for Rare materials. Storage problem solved.

Or are you using every one of those 5 armors on each character on a day to day basis?

Maybe they should have made some kind of "unlock xxx equipment pack" you could buy for your account, and then buy what you have unlocked from merchant.

I only have 7 characters, but I feel the same.

I'll buy 1 20 slot and 7 10 slots, and equip the 20 slots on the char I'm playing.

I actually don't think it does. I've done a handfull of these now, going through a daily item once with all of my characters. Honestly, I'm already getting a little tired of it. It is a double edged sword. I know they're trying to keep people busy untill GW2. But, they run the risk of making people think this is a game where the rewards are nowhere near worth the effort. And since they've been going further and further in this direction, I can only assume that GW2 will have even more grind. That does not make me want to buy GW2.

I pitty those who think that they HAVE to do this.... just read someones post about being forced to get 5 armors for their HoM ...that's pretty sad. My monk has 8 sets of armors just for the looks if they didn't like them i wouldn't have bought them at all.
Zoin count, im taking it fairly easy and i think i've got 2220 coppers by my calculation

Please keep from making such useless comments. I dislike the prices for the prizes and that's my opinion. I even made my points on why I dislike this. If you disagree please send a mature, valid post that argue for your stance in this.
A useful comment from someone like Nanood in my guru forum?...it's less likely then you think.

I personally agree with you that the prices for these are out of whack.

On a related subject of farming coins. I would like to know what Anet is going to do about create/delete for PvP characters just to farm coins as that's obviously not their intent for the fact that a single character can only take the pvp quest once a day.

Seems that it's ok to exploit that in order to rake in coins.

^thats what I was thinking too. it's an obvious exploit. I remember a few yrs back when pvp weekend was introduced and when you did that it wouldnt count it when you rerolled because they knew that the create/delete was gonna be exploited. (there was a "lock" on that char slot in place or something)

guess its either being looked into or deliberate and it will stay.

for me its not about the bag, I want to unlock the rainbow pho and moss spider and be done with it all together afterwards. I already have my coins for moss but looking at it timewise, id rather save til I can get the rainbow pho 1st. lol

/g'luck to meh.
